Spurs Slide Deserves Attention

OK….Duncan, Parker, Blair, and Ginnobli are ball players. Even Mcdyss, he is a ball player.  But let’s get real for once, about the rest of the roster…Bonner-Bad defender, doesn’t rebound, lacks toughness. Good shooter, but should be playing the 3. Seems like a no brainer. Mason-doesn’t have the ability to finish at the rim…Struggles when defenders crowd him.  Not a great defender. Mason is a shooter. He should be utilized as a shooter, not a point guard!

Bogans-still don’t know what the hell he’s doing here. No other NBA team would start Bogans. No other NBA team would give him this many minutes…Spurs let Bruce Bowen go, send Malik Hairston back to D League again, cut Marcus Williams, and decide to start Keith Bogans? I cry every game!

Finley has been a great NBA player and a great Spur. Can be a plus off the bench offensively, just not a good defender.  However, he’s not properly utilized by Pop. Why is Pop not playing Mahinmi and Ratliff when the Spurs are getting “bitch slapped” on the boards night after night? Are they resisting the Pop dictatorship?

Richard Jefferson has been solid for his entire career. A decent shooter, defender, and rebounder. Good ball handler; can put it on the floor and create, and is absolutely NASTY around the rim.  Yet, He struggles in San Antonio.

The Popster knew that Jefferson is accustomed to being a 1st or second option.  Yet, he decides not to run any offense thru him. Who is the mastermind?  Even more hilarious,  the Popster expects this guy to suddenly learn to be a garbage man and get what little he can in the flow of the game, while learning an entirely new system and playing with a brand new team!  Jefferson is a player Don’t tell anyone, but He is not the reason that his numbers are at an all time low.  Go Popster!

Spur Nation wants to know… What is wrong with the San Antonio Spurs?
