The mystery, the amazement, the utter madness!  Coach Greg Popovich has got to be either a stone cold genius or an ego maniac to make these kind of moves.

Releasing Marcus Haislip?  Come on guys.  A young, athletic, and talented, 6’10 big man at an extremely affordable price.  This kid would have added defense, rebounding, scoring, and size. However, don’t take my word for it, just take a look at the video footage of Marcus Haislip, now playing in Greece – then you decide.

In addition to that mystery move,  The Popster sends Malik Hairston to the Toro’s in favor of playing Finley and Bogans?  Again, please take a look at this video of Hairston’s play in Austin.  Also, sending Marcus Williams back to Toro’s, just to embarrass the talent pool in that league, instead of keeping him here and allowing him to contribute.

Two 6’7 swingmen in Williams and Hairston that can play offense and defense?  The 6’10 Ratliff, and the 6”11 Mahinmi, picking up DNP’s every night?  Where is the sanity in that?

Finally, lets not forget the mysterious release of Luis Scola, Pops MensaBonsu, and Bruce Bowen.  Rumor has it that the only reason Bruce wasn’t brought back was because he wouldn’t kiss The Popster’s REAR END, which is a prerequisite to be a Spur.

Is the Popster just much more of an advanced basketball mastermind than any of us realized?  Or, is he actually coaching the Spurs out of the playoff hunt?

The Spur Nation wants to know.
